Raz de la Torre, a seasoned professional storyteller, has been weaving cinematic tales for over two decades in the realms of film and television, while dedicating himself to education since 2012.
As a prolific screenwriter, Raz co-penned the beloved film "A Very Special Love" and, as a director, skillfully helmed award-winning and critically acclaimed primetime series, garnering recognition from the prestigious Asian Academy Creative Awards.
A multifaceted creative force, Raz boasts an impressive array of accolades, including being a CCP Gawad Alternatibo winner, two-time Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival finalist, two-time PMPC Star Awards nominee, and Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation awardee.
Throughout his illustrious career, Raz has made substantial contributions to the Philippine film and television industry. He also served as Executive Producer for the NCCA's Dayaw on ANC and currently teaches Communication Studies and Broadcast Media Arts at the University of the Philippines.
Raz's academic pursuits led him to earn his Master's in Filmmaking with Distinction from the renowned London Film School.
