Biography

Born in 1924 in New Jersey, Ray Reagan's life took an unexpected turn when he had to put his engineering studies on hold to join the U.S. Army during World War II. As a decorated soldier, he found himself in a series of extraordinary circumstances, including a forced landing in Switzerland following an air raid over Germany. It was during this period of detention that he caught the attention of renowned director Leopold Lindtberg, who cast him in his classic war film The Last Chance in 1945. Reagan played the role of an American sergeant, marking the brief moment he stepped into the spotlight as an actor. Despite this chance encounter, he never pursued an acting career, instead choosing to rejoin his unit in the Pacific at the conclusion of filming. Thereafter, he never appeared before a camera again, leaving his brief foray into acting as a fascinating footnote in his remarkable life story.
