Raymond Antonini, professionally known as Ray Anthony, was born on January 20, 1922, in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. His family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent most of his early life, and it was here that he began his musical journey by studying trumpet with his father. Between 1940 and 1941, Anthony had the opportunity to play with the renowned Glenn Miller and His Orchestra.
