Ransford Doherty, a native of Washington, DC, hails from a family with a fraternal twin sibling and an older sister. His early fascination with acting began during his high school days at C.D. Hylton High School in Dale City, VA, where Julie Clarke, the head of the Drama Department, instilled in him the confidence to take the stage. This initial spark was further fanned by Pam Arkin, a Theatre Department chair and acting teacher at Longwood College, who encouraged him to major in theatre. Taking her advice to heart, Ransford went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance.
Six months after graduating from college, Ransford made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, CA, where he has since enjoyed a successful career in the entertainment industry. He has guest-starred in numerous hit television shows and appeared in a variety of national commercials and print ads. When he's not pursuing his acting career, Ransford dedicates his time to giving back to the community by substitute teaching at local elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles area, catering to students from kindergarten to the 5th grade.
