Ram Madhvani is a renowned Indian filmmaker, widely respected for his exceptional work in the industry. His debut feature film, Let's Talk, premiered at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival, where it went on to win the Screen "Best Actor" award for Boman Irani and the "Best Debut Director" award at the Srinivas Gollapudi National Awards.
Ram's documentary, Everlasting Light, showcased India's legendary superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, at the renowned Lincoln Center in New York. The documentary received high praise from Richard Peña, Director of the Lincoln Center, who noted that it is rare for a film about an artist to be a work of art in itself.
In February 2015, Ram embarked on his next creative venture with his biographical film on the courageous Neerja Bhanot, Neerja, starring Sonam Kapoor and Shabana Azmi. The film was produced under the banner of Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged, with Equinox Features, Ram's own company, serving as Associate Producer. The movie received widespread critical acclaim, with most reviewers awarding it 4 to 4.5 stars. Neerja has become one of the highest-grossing Indian films with a female lead in history.
Ram's success was further solidified when he won the National Award for Best Hindi Feature Film (Neerja) and numerous other accolades, including "Best Director" at the Star Screen Awards, Stardust Awards, and Zee Cine Awards, as well as "Best Film (Critics)" at the Filmfare Awards.
