Biography

Rajeev Dassani is a renowned writer and director, whose cinematic endeavors have garnered widespread recognition and accolades from prestigious film festivals globally. His academic pursuits led him to the University of Southern California, where he honed his directing skills, culminating in the creation of his thesis film, "A Day's Work", which has been screened at numerous international festivals, racking up an impressive tally of "best film" awards, including the coveted gold medal at the Student Academy Awards, the "best student film" honor at the Shanghai Film Festival, and the Audience Award at the AFI Dallas Festival, among many others.

Rajeev's inaugural feature-length film, "Watercolor Postcards", boasts an impressive cast, featuring Bailee Madison, Jonathan Banks, and Laura Bell Bundy, and has been making the rounds in the festival circuit, poised for a 2013 release.

In addition to his writing and directing endeavors, Rajeev co-founded Master Key Productions with his twin brother, Elan Dassani, providing production services and visual effects for a plethora of TV series and feature films. As part of Master Key, Rajeev took on the role of creative consultant and visual effects producer for notable shows such as the "Knight Rider" reboot on NBC, the critically acclaimed "Justified" with Timothy Olyphant on FX, and "Covert Affairs" starring Piper Perabo on USA. He also co-designed and directed the title sequence for "Covert Affairs" and directed action sequences for several episodes, including the season finale, which was shot on location in London and Sri Lanka.
