Henry William Frederick Albert, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, KG, KT, KP, GCB, GBE, GCVO, PC, ADC, was born on March 31, 1900, in Sandringham, Norfolk, England, United Kingdom.
He was the third child and only son of King George V and Queen Mary, and the younger brother of King Edward VIII and King George VI.
On November 6, 1935, Duke of Gloucester married Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, a granddaughter of King Edward VII.
Throughout his life, he held various military and royal titles, including Commander-in-Chief of the British Army of the Rhine and Honorary Air Marshal of the Royal Air Force.
Duke of Gloucester died on June 10, 1974, at the age of 74, at Barnwell Manor, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom.
