Prince Bagdasarian is a filmmaker with a strong presence in Los Angeles. As a writer-director, he has successfully helmed award-winning action crime features, including "Abducted" (2018) and "Abstraction" (2013),as well as co-producing the acclaimed sci-fi film "5th Passenger" (2017). Bagdasarian's films have garnered numerous nominations and wins at various film festivals and have secured worldwide distribution.
Throughout his career, Bagdasarian has operated his own production company, PIB Productions, and worked extensively in production and post-production on over a hundred feature films, including notable titles such as "Rambo" (2008) and "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans" (2009).
Prince Bagdasarian grew up in and around Hollywood, and before pursuing a career in filmmaking, he was a magician and illusionist. He began performing magic at the age of 10 and quickly progressed to larger stage illusions with the help of his sister, Rose Bagdasarian. He made numerous appearances as a special guest on television programs, magazines, and newspapers, including the magic industry's professional magazine, "Genii".
After graduating from film school, Bagdasarian formed PIB Productions in 2001 to produce his first film, "Desperate Decisions". He went on to produce three other films that became official selections and award winners at film festivals.
In 2013, Bagdasarian completed his first feature film, "Abstraction", a crime drama revolving around the heist of a half a million dollar painting. The film starred Eric Roberts and Ken Davitian, among others, and garnered over a dozen nominations and wins at film festivals. It was acquired for worldwide distribution in 2015.
In 2018, Bagdasarian followed up with his second directorial feature, "Abducted", a high-octane action crime film starring Michael Urie and Scout Taylor-Compton. The film received standing ovations at every showing and garnered various awards at film festivals before being acquired exclusively by Showtime Networks in 2020.
Throughout his career, Bagdasarian has also directed dozens of hit music videos for artists such as Snoop Dogg, O.T. Genasis, and Soulja Boy. He has numerous directorial feature films upcoming, cementing his position as a respected and accomplished filmmaker in the industry.
