Pollyanna McIntosh, a talented actress born in Scotland, began her career in theatre and indie filmmaking at a young age. She performed on stage at The Edinburgh Festival and later moved to London, where she continued to work in theatre and film.
McIntosh's breakthrough role came in 1998 when she appeared in Irvine Welsh's film "The Acid House". She then moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and continued to work in theatre, directing a production of "The Woolgatherer" that received great reviews.
In 2005, McIntosh landed her first US movie role in "Headspace", followed by a notable performance in "Sex and Death 101" in 2007. Her critically acclaimed performance in "Exam" in 2009 earned her a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding British Debut.
McIntosh has since appeared in a range of films, including "Como Quien No Quiere La Cosa" (2013),"Burke and Hare" (2010),"The Woman" (2011),and "Filth" (2013). She has also worked in television, starring in the BBC comedy "Bob Servant Independent" and the Sundance TV series "Hap and Leonard".
