Pierre Anthony Perea is a multifaceted individual with a rich background in the entertainment industry. Born in New York, he has been influenced by his diverse cultural heritage, allowing him to bring a unique range and depth to his work. With decades of experience in theatre, film, voice-over, and award-winning performances, Perea has established himself as a talented and versatile artist.
Perea began his acting career later in life, but quickly gained recognition with his debut role in the film "Mayflower Madam" alongside Candice Bergen. He then went on to appear in "Drop Dead Diva" as a co-star with Tony Goldwyn, directed by Michael Grossman, and had a guest role in "Necessary Roughness" directed by James Hayman. He also starred alongside Rebecca DeMornay, Randy Quaid, and Michael O'Keefe in the film "The Slugger's Wife".
Perea's extreme diversity was recognized when he was invited back to "In the Heat of the Night" by Fred Silverman and Carroll O'Connor, playing two different characters in the same season. With over 200 film projects under his belt, he has had the opportunity to work with numerous notable celebrities, including James Avery, Barbara Hershey, Jane Alexander, Michael Nouri, and Salma Hayek, among others.
In addition to his acting career, Perea is also a talented model, having appeared in top fashion magazines and runway shows for GQ, Calvin Klein, International Male, and other prominent agencies. He has also studied 3 disciplines of acting and has been accepted into Master Classes at Strasberg Film & Theatre in Manhattan, NYC, and has been invited by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England.
Perea has strong theatrical roots, having performed Off-Broadway and at various other venues, including the Jewish Theatre, Alliance Theatre, and the Fabulous FOX Theatre in an opera called "Tosca". He has also studied and performed with the Shakespeare Company and has been a part of the original ensemble with award-winning shows by the Actors Express.
Living in Manhattan, Perea has been fortunate to have worked with amazing and legendary teachers and has performed in many Off-Broadway productions, including "Speed the Plow" and "Curse of the Upper Class". He is proud to be a part of the esteemed list of alumni from Strasberg Film and Theatre School, which includes Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe, Alec Baldwin, Uma Thurman, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson, and Callie Khourie, creator of Nashville.
Perea is also a skilled martial artist, holding a 3rd-degree black belt in hard and soft martial art forms, as well as proficiency in close-quarter combat, boxing, and weaponry. He is an avid horseman and proficient polo player, and is also musically self-taught, enjoying acoustic guitar, writing ballads, and playing piano and harmonica.
