Philip Levien, a highly accomplished individual, embarked on a remarkable journey after graduating from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. For two decades, he dedicated himself to the world of acting, captivating audiences with his talents on stage and screen, with a staggering 100+ film and television credits to his name. Following this successful stint in Hollywood, Levien took a twenty-year hiatus from the entertainment industry and pursued a new passion - education. He relocated to Santa Barbara, California, where he spent two decades teaching English and Theatre Arts at a public high school. During this period, he not only taught students, but also directed classic plays specifically designed for English learners, at-risk youth, and students with special needs. His dedication and expertise earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Santa Barbara County Distinguished Educator award, Carnegie Fellow, SCWriP Fellow, and the Anti-Defamation League's Educator honoree. After twenty fulfilling years in the classroom, Levien retired from his full-time teaching position in June 2014, marking a triumphant return to his roots in acting.
