Phi Huynh, a talented Canadian actor, made his professional debut on Nickelodeon's "The Next Step: We Are the World" in 2015, joining the cast as a principal actor. Later that year, he landed a notable role in two episodes of CBS's "Heroes Reborn".
Since then, Phi has appeared in several notable shows, including "V-WARS" on Netflix, "Salvation" on Syfy and Netflix, "Taken" on CBS, and "Mayday Air Crash Investigations". His most recent role, in the action-packed short film "OVERcover", earned him an award for Best Action Short Film at the Urban Action Showcase International Film Festival in New York City in 2020.
Born on July 16, 1989, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, Phi has a rich background in martial arts. In 2006, he won a provincial championship in Karate Sparring against Team Canada in the World Fraternity of Martial Artists. Phi studied traditional Shorin-Ryu Karate during his teenage years before transitioning to gymnastics, acrobatics, breakdancing, and live stage performance.
Phi is of Vietnamese descent, specifically from Southern Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon. He is fluent in English, Vietnamese, and has a working knowledge of Japanese.
