Peyton Manning is an illustrious American former professional football player who spent an impressive 18 seasons as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL),leaving an indelible mark on the sport.
Born into a football legacy, Peyton is the second son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and the older brother of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning. He played college football for the University of Tennessee, where he led the Tennessee Volunteers to the 1997 SEC Championship in his senior season.
Peyton's illustrious NFL career began when he was selected by the Indianapolis Colts as the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Over the course of his 14 seasons with the Colts, he dramatically improved the team's fortunes, transforming them into consistent playoff contenders. During his tenure, Manning led the team to eight division championships, two AFC championships, and one Super Bowl title, the franchise's first in over three decades, as well as their first since relocating to Indianapolis.
