Peter Lee Lawrence, a blond German youth, made his uncredited debut in Sergio Leone's 1965 film "For A Few Dollars More". He went on to become the hero in many Spaghetti Westerns, starring in a total of nine years' worth of Italo-Spain co-productions.
Lawrence's filmography includes the thriller-drama "Giorni d'amore sul filo di una lama" (1973),where he starred alongside his long-time partner, the blond German actress Erica Blanc. He also appeared in the Italian horror film "Bacio di una morta" (1974).
In 1972, Lawrence began experiencing severe headaches, and after completing filming on "Los Caballeros del Botón de Ancla", he was hospitalized at the Foundation Jimenez Diaz Hospital in Madrid. He underwent surgery, which was initially successful, but a biopsy report later revealed that he was suffering from glioblastoma.
Lawrence then moved to Zurich, where he underwent both chemotherapy and radium treatment under the care of Professor Wolfgang Horst. Unfortunately, his condition continued to deteriorate, and he was admitted to the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome on March 25, 1974, complaining of severe stomach pains.
Tragically, Peter Lee Lawrence passed away on April 20, 1974, at 10:03 am. At the time of his death, he was married to actress Cristina Galbó.
