Biography

Here is Peter Kent's biography:

Born on June 23, 1957, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Peter Kent was destined to be a thrillseeker and adrenaline junkie. As a young child, he would shoot rapids, climb trees, and pedal his bicycle across planks to get an adrenaline rush.

At six years old, his parents divorced, and he moved to New Jersey with his mother, earning him dual Canadian-US citizenship. Later, he returned to Canada and ran a bed-and-breakfast boarding house with his mother while attending school.

Kent worked various jobs on Vancouver Island, including sawmill, salmon fishing, and electronics sales, before becoming a sound engineer for Canadian bands. He nearly died in a car accident in the early 1980s, but survived through sheer willpower.

The accident transformed his appearance, earning him a resemblance to Arnold Schwarzenegger. This proved fateful, as he was taken under James Cameron's wing to double Schwarzenegger in The Terminator (1984). Kent became a celebrated and highly paid stuntman, doubling Schwarzenegger in 14 films over 13 years.

Kent's apprenticeship with Schwarzenegger allowed him to understand the genre better than most, and he gained access to top-notch screenplays in Hollywood. He was almost killed on set during the filming of Eraser (1996),which led him to pursue a less life-threatening career path.

Kent has studied with various Los Angeles-based drama groups, including a long-time coach, Zina Provendie. He met his wife, a nurse, Marcia Kent, in Vancouver and they were married in 2007. They are expecting twin boys in 2009.

Kent has been interviewed in numerous publications and has been inducted into the Hollywood Stuntman's Hall of Fame in 2009.
