Biography

Peter Brown's journey into the world of acting began during his time in the army, where he utilized his spare time in Alaska to organize a theater group on base. This creative outlet helped to pass the time and eventually sparked a passion that would stay with him throughout his life.

After his military service, Brown enrolled in the acting program at UCLA, where he honed his craft and prepared himself for a career in the entertainment industry. By the mid-1950s, he had landed his first roles in western films and television series, which would become a staple of his career for many years to come.

One of his most notable roles during this period was that of Johnny McKay, the eager young deputy, in the classic western series "Lawman" (1958). He also made a name for himself as one of a trio of Texas Rangers in the western action/comedy series "Laredo" (1965).

Following a contract with Universal Pictures that spanned from 1965 to 1972, Brown transitioned to the world of soap operas and made-for-TV films. Despite the changes in his career path, he has remained steadily employed in the industry ever since, continuing to bring his talents to a wide range of projects.
