Pedro Hossi was born in Luanda, Angola, and at the tender age of two, he made the bold decision to relocate to Portugal, where he would spend the majority of his formative years. As he grew into his late teens, Pedro's sense of adventure and thirst for knowledge led him to New York, where he enrolled in the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute to hone his craft. Following his time in the States, Pedro took his talents to the City of Light, Paris, to study and work under the guidance of the renowned acting coach, Jack Waltzer.
After refining his skills in the City of Love, Pedro returned to the United States, where he landed his first leading role in the independent film "Borderline", which was shot on location in Mexico and Los Angeles. This milestone marked the beginning of a string of notable performances, including a starring role opposite Brazilian superstar Lazaro Ramos in the film "The Great Kilapy", which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Subsequent to these notable roles, Pedro continued to make a name for himself in his home countries of Angola and Portugal, taking on various TV and film projects that showcased his impressive range as an actor. And, as if all this wasn't enough, Pedro's latest film, "Sergio", a Netflix production, is set to make its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2020. In this highly anticipated film, Pedro brings to life the iconic leader of East Timor, General Xanana Gusmão, opposite an impressive cast, including Wagner Moura and Ana de Armas, among others.
