Paula Sheppard, a talented performer from New Jersey, was initially discovered by Alfred Sole while she was showcasing her dancing skills in a local play during her teenage years. Sole, impressed by her potential, cast the then 19-year-old Sheppard as the adolescent protagonist Alice Spages in his cult horror film Alice, Sweet Alice, which was released in 1976. Several years later, Sheppard made her second and final film appearance, this time playing the role of a drug dealer in Slava Tsukerman's science fiction film Liquid Sky, which also gained a cult following in the years that followed.
