Paul Travers, a native of Middleboro, Massachusetts, has called Manhattan, New York City his home for the past twelve years. A birthday gift from his family at the tender age of fourteen marked the beginning of his creative journey, as they presented him with a video camera, sparking his passion for filmmaking. From that moment on, Paul spent his teenage years writing and directing horror and comedy shorts with his friends in the neighborhood, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.
As he entered his late teenage years, Paul transitioned into the music industry, becoming the lyricist and singer for the Boston hardcore band Grudge Holder at the age of seventeen. This experience, combined with his childhood fascination with movies, naturally led Paul to pursue a career in screenwriting. He made the transition with ease, and his musical background proved to be a valuable asset in his future filmmaking endeavors.
In 2012, Paul made his directorial debut with the film OLD 37, which he also wrote, produced, and second-unit directed. Given his musical background, Paul also took on the role of Music Supervisor, securing tracks from platinum-selling artists such as The Used, Sheppard, Circa Survive, and more.
In addition to his work in filmmaking, Paul serves as the General Manager of Big Picture Media, a publicity agency based in NYC, where he oversees a staff of twenty people. With a diverse range of projects in development, Paul is currently working on writing three unique scripts that he is eager to bring to life on the big screen in the near future.
