Biography

Paul's journey in filmmaking began at the tender age of eight, when he was mesmerized by the documentary "The Making of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". This chance encounter sparked a lifelong passion for making movies.

Fast forward to Paul's teenage years, where his 16mm, 30-minute action film "Trapped" won the prestigious Berkeley Film Festival at the age of 18. This early success only fueled his creative fire, and he went on to graduate from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production.

After completing his education, Paul's professional career took off, with a stint in the United States Air Force, where he was responsible for filming space launches for NASA. This unique experience honed his skills and prepared him for his feature film debut.

Paul's first feature film, "The Tournament", was shot in 35mm Techniscope and told the story of three samurai who travel to England to participate in a fencing tournament. The film featured Paul as an extra in the Blu-ray release.

Paul's subsequent films, including "Death Machines", "Weapons of Death", and "Ninja Busters", showcased his versatility as a writer, director, and producer. His action/comedy "Ninja Busters" was released on Blu-ray with the director's commentary, while "One Way Out" was a crime drama that played to audiences around the world.

The 1990s saw Paul's continued success with the sci-fi film "Omega Cop", starring Adam West, Troy Donahue, and Stuart Whitman. He also ventured into the world of audio-books, writing and directing "Rock Star Rising", narrated by Rod Taylor, and featuring a star-studded cast, including Russ Tamblyn, George Chakiris, Robert Culp, James Darren, and Kevin McCarthy.

Paul's magnum opus was the largest production in audio-book history, "McKnight's Memory", narrated by Frank Sinatra Jr. and featuring a talented ensemble cast, including Robert Culp, Nancy Kwan, Don Stroud, Henry Silva, Alan Young, Barbra Leigh, H.M Wynant, David Hedison, and Edd Kookie Byrnes.

In the 2010s, Paul continued to push the boundaries of his craft, directing Edd Byrnes' audio-memoir "My Casino Caper", which told the true story of Edd's 3 million-dollar Las Vegas win and subsequent stalking. The audio-memoir featured a talented cast, including Edd, Alan Young, Henry Silva, David Hedison, and Michael Callan.

Paul's most recent feature film, "Forbidden Power", premiered in 2018 and went on to win 28 international awards at IMDB-sanctioned film festivals, including Best Screenplay at the Florence Film Awards in Italy and Best Feature Film at the New York Cinematography Awards.
