Noted saxophonist, composer, songwriter, and conductor, boasting a prestigious educational background that includes a Bachelor of Music degree from the renowned Oberlin Conservatory, as well as a Master of Music degree from the esteemed Manhattan School of Music, where he received scholarships for his outstanding academic achievements.

Throughout his illustrious career, he had the privilege of being a member of the distinguished Sauter-Finegan band and the acclaimed Chico Hamilton Quintet. In 1958, he made the bold decision to relocate to Hollywood, where he embarked on a successful journey as a free-lance studio musician, recording a wide range of music for various projects.

It was in 1959 that he decided to form his own quintet, marking a significant milestone in his artistic journey. Furthermore, he joined the prestigious American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) in the same year, solidifying his position as a respected composer of popular songs.

His impressive repertoire of compositions includes the critically acclaimed "Mirage for Miles", "Ecstasy", "Half and Half", "Count Your Change", and "Abstraction", which have left a lasting impact on the music world.
