Paul Cassidy, professionally known as Paul Anthony McAllister, was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1977. His educational journey began at St Anthony's in the south side of Glasgow, where he spent his formative years.
Following his time at school, Paul relocated to Stockholm, Sweden, where he resided for three years. During this period, he was employed by a music company, gaining valuable work experience.
Upon his return to Glasgow in 2004, Paul sought a new challenge, which led him to pursue one-on-one drama training. This decision ultimately resulted in his audition and subsequent casting in a production of Patricia Highsmith's play, The Talented Mr. Ripley. His outstanding performance received widespread critical acclaim, paving the way for a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Paul's impressive repertoire of stage and screen credits continued to grow, with numerous plays, films, and television appearances under his belt. However, in 2011, he took a five-year hiatus from performing to focus on a different aspect of his life.
During this period, Paul dedicated himself to working with individuals who had experienced developmental trauma, providing guidance and support to help them find a more positive direction in life. His passion for this work is evident, and he continues to be deeply committed to this endeavor.
Despite his success in the entertainment industry, Paul has recently returned to performing, having had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed filmmakers. In his own words, "I feel more at ease being a performer knowing that in between productions I can embrace another side of reality, working with those less fortunate and doing my best to help them towards a happier life."
