Paul Bernard is a seasoned producer, director, and assistant director with over 20 years of experience in the film and television industry. He has lived and worked in New York City for 15 years before relocating to Los Angeles 7 years ago. Bernard has traveled extensively, producing film and television projects around the world.
With his producing partner James Scura, Bernard specializes in producing high-quality films on independent budgets, but has also worked on projects with budgets exceeding $100 million. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work closely with many renowned directors and producers, including Oliver Stone, Woody Allen, and Tim Burton, among many others.
Between 2008 and 2012, Bernard produced and co-executive produced five seasons of the TNT hit television series Leverage, executive produced by Dean Devlin and created by John Rogers. He also co-executive produced a FX pilot, Legit, and produced a CBS pilot, Scent of the Missing.
In 2010, Bernard produced White Irish Drinkers, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for the 2010 Gotham Independent Film "Genius Award." Other notable credits include A Fork in the Road, Follow the Profit, Blank Slate, The Air I Breathe, The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, Trust the Man, Venus and Vegas, Passionada, and Loose Woman.
In addition to producing, Bernard has accumulated numerous Assistant Director credits in both TV and film, including Leverage, White Irish Drinkers, Sugarloaf, The Marc Pease Experience, Dragonball Evolution, and many others. He has also worked on music events and concert tours, serving as Line Producer and Production Manager for the Grateful Dead Summer Tour '92, Billy Joel PBS Concert '93, and Pete Towndsend's Psychoderelict '93.
Bernard graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Film.
