Paul Allica, born on January 27, 1991, in Melbourne, Australia, began his journey in the performing arts by starring in local musicals during his formative years. He gained recognition for his leading roles in productions such as Pharaoh in 'Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' and Coach Bolton in 'Disney's High School Musical On Stage', showcasing his strong reputation in the industry.
In 2008, Paul's academic achievements were recognized as he was voted College Captain and awarded the Queen's Scout Award by the Governor Of Victoria on behalf of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth's II at Government House.
To further develop his acting skills, Paul was mentored by Logie award winner Paul O'Brien (Home and Away) and worked with director Kelly Dolen (John Doe Vigilante). He also studied Lee Strasberg's method acting approach at the renowned Melbourne Actor's Lab and trained in action acting and movie fighting skills under a veteran member of the Jackie Chan Stunt Team. Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Film and Digital Media with distinction from Deakin University, Australia.
In addition to his dramatic foundation, Paul's strong physical ability in martial arts earned him recognition as the State Champion and National Runner Up in Martial Arts for Australia (NAS) in 2010. This skill has enhanced his performance credentials, allowing him to take on action-oriented roles.
Paul's breakout performance was in the role of Dennis Rellik in the multi-million dollar thriller 'John Doe Vigilante'. He then worked as a featured extra in 'Kung Fu Yoga' alongside Jackie Chan, which became one of China's biggest hits of the year. He also appeared in 'Ghost In the Shell' and was subsequently cast in 'Wolf Warriors 2' co-starring Frank Grillo.
Paul went on to star in 'Journey To China - Mystery Of The Iron Mask' shot in IMAX 3D, working alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan. He also appeared in six episodes of 'Kung Fu Police' on Chinese television and played a 1970's police officer in 'Wrong Kind Of Black' for Australia's largest television network ABC.
