Born as Osman Soykut in Ankara, Turkey, Ozman's heritage is a unique blend of East European roots on his mother's side and Crimean roots from his father's. He attended Frankfurt International School and TED Ankara Koleji, and holds a B.A. in Architecture from the Middle East Technical University.
In 1984, Ozman moved to California, where he began his acting career in 1989. He went on to train with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse from 2001 until Milton's passing in 2008. His early success in Los Angeles saw him play in numerous productions, including Charmed, Alias, The Bold And The Beautiful, The Hot Chick, Art School Confidential, and many others.
In 2007, Ozman accepted a lead role in the TV drama "Iki Yabanci" in Istanbul, quickly establishing himself as a skilled actor. He continued to take on bigger roles in "Pars Narkoteror" and "Adanali". In 2009, he was cast as the suave and deadly Aron Feller in the phenomenal TV action drama "Valley Of The Wolves: Ambush", followed by his iconic portrayal of "Ibn-i Arabi" in the historical TV drama "Dirilis - Ertugrul" in 2014.
Ozman's subsequent role as "Deputy Governor Mazhar" in Terry George's 2016 film epic, "The Promise", further cemented his reputation as a talented and versatile actor. An avid linguist, Ozman speaks fluent German, in addition to Turkish and English, and continues to study 13 other languages. His dedication to his craft and his ability to connect with audiences of all nationalities have made him a beloved figure around the world.
