Born on January 4, 1980, in the vibrant city of Izmir, Oner Erkan embarked on a journey in the world of acting at the tender age of 15 with a theater course that would lay the foundation for his future endeavors.
Four years later, in 2002, he graduated from Dokuz Eylul University's Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Theater, and went on to further his education by completing his master's degree at Bahcesehir University.
His first foray into television was with a children's program on TRT, marking the beginning of a remarkable career that would span across multiple platforms.
Following his stint as a dancer for two seasons at the Istanbul City Theater between 2002-2004, Oner Erkan joined the esteemed Oyun Atölyesi, founded by the renowned actor Haluk Bilginer, as an actress. He then went on to star in a string of notable films, including 'Organize Isler', 'Hacivat Karagöz Neden Öldürüldü?', and 'Son Osmanli Yandim Ali'.
The actor's impressive body of work earned him widespread recognition, with his standout performance in the movie 'Bornova Bornova' winning him the Best Actor Award at the Golden Orange in 2009.
In 2013, Oner Erkan received the Most Successful Actor of the Year Award at the Afife Theater Awards for his role in the play 'My Father's Corpses' / 'Babamin Cesetleri', and again in 2019 for his role in the play 'Dünyada Karsilasmis Gibi'.
Throughout his career, Oner Erkan has also made a significant impact in television, starring in popular series such as 'Avrupa Yakasi', 'Iki Aile', 'Üsküdar'a Giderken', 'Yalan Dünya', and 'Çukur'.
