Norman Gershman, a distinguished American fine-art photographer, emerged onto the scene in the year 1932. Fast forward to 2002, a pivotal moment in his life, when he stumbled upon the extraordinary tale of Albanian bravery during World War II. This remarkable narrative, which would forever alter the trajectory of his existence, centered around Albania's unwavering defiance in the face of Nazi occupation. Despite being subjected to brutal suppression, the entire Albanian government remained resolute in its refusal to collaborate with the Nazi regime. This courageous stance, which served as a beacon of hope amidst the darkness of war, left an indelible mark on Norman's heart and soul.

Norman's unwavering commitment to fostering peace and unity led him to establish the Eye Contact Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, where he currently serves as the dedicated Executive Director. With unrelenting passion, Norman works diligently to disseminate the foundation's message of hope and understanding, striving to bridge the gaps between individuals and communities.
