Niv Klainer, a highly accomplished individual, earned a Bachelor's degree in comparative literature from Tel Aviv University, setting the stage for a remarkable career in the world of film.
Prior to attending the prestigious Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem, Niv made a notable achievement by publishing a compilation of his short stories, showcasing his literary prowess. He also ventured into the realm of animation, creating his first animated short film, further demonstrating his versatility as a creative artist.
The turning point in Niv's career came when his live-action short film, Mr. Kurzweil Is Dead, premiered at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival in 2006. This significant milestone marked the beginning of his journey towards developing his debut feature film, Bena, which was a French-Israeli co-production.
After completing his debut feature, Niv relocated to New York City, where he has been actively engaged as a writer, director, and editor at Yolka Films for the past decade. His latest short film, Don't Think About It, was produced as an MFA thesis film at Columbia University, solidifying his reputation as a talented and dedicated filmmaker.
