Nino Aldi is a renowned writer/director celebrated for his gripping thriller narratives, masterfully woven with intense emotional storytelling and a refined cinematic aesthetic. Based in Los Angeles, California, Nino's creative endeavors have garnered widespread recognition and accolades.
Nino's directorial debut, "Who Killed Cooper Dunn?", a suspenseful whodunit thriller starring Tyler Ritter, was released on Showtime and Paramount+ in late 2022. His upcoming feature, "Lonesome Soldier", a gritty military biographical drama starring John Ashton, is set to premiere theatrically in the Fall of 2023.
Before venturing into feature films, Nino directed over a dozen festival short films, including the critically acclaimed "Tribes", which qualified for the Academy Awards and won numerous international accolades, including "Best Comedy" at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, "Best Short Film" at Just for Laughs - Eat My Shorts, and Canada's YES- Let's Make A Movie Film Festival, where Nino also received the "Best Director" award.
Nino is currently casting his third feature film, "Black Bouquet", which he co-wrote and is set to direct in late spring 2024. His script, "Mercury Retrograde", is a semi-finalist in the prestigious Page International Screenwriting Awards 2023.
Beyond his distinctive directorial style, Nino boasts extensive experience in film production, having worked below the line for over two decades. As a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA),Nino has honed his skills as an assistant director and has credits on NBC's The Voice as a field producer for 18 seasons. His profound understanding of film production, post-production, and ensuring creative vision meets budgetary constraints sets him apart from other independent film directors.
