Nikos Foskolos, the renowned Greek writer, novelist, screenwriter, radio and theater critic, film and television director, was the son of Robert and Erifili. As a contemporary figure in the world of Greek literature, Foskolos' life and work were deeply intertwined with his academic pursuits and professional endeavors.
Although he studied Political Science at the University of Athens, Foskolos did not receive a degree in the subject. Instead, he began his career as a journalist, working for prominent Greek newspapers such as Embros and Independent Press during the 1950s and 1960s. In this capacity, he honed his skills as a writer, taking on freelance and artistic reporting assignments, as well as film reviews.
From a very young age, Foskolos was drawn to the world of detective fiction, and he went on to write numerous detective novels throughout his career.
