Biography

Nicole Stamp is a highly acclaimed and accomplished television director, host, and writer, with a impressive list of accolades to her name. With a total of five Canadian Screen Award nominations, two Writers Guild of Canada Award nominations, and a Toronto Arts Award for Excellence and Innovation in Theatre, Stamp has established herself as a talented and innovative creator in the industry.

As the creator, writer, and host of MEDIA STAMPED, a new show teaching media literacy to kids aged 9-11, Stamp has demonstrated her ability to craft engaging and educational content for young audiences. Produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment, in partnership with Global Citizen, and commissioned by TELUS+, Media Stamped has received numerous award nominations, including three Canadian Screen Awards and a Youth Media Alliance Award of Excellence.

Stamp's extensive directing credits include episodes of popular children's shows such as Teletubbies (Netflix),The Next Step (CBBC),Blue's Clues (Nickelodeon),and Odd Squad (PBS / Sinking Ship). She has also worked on various other projects, including The Fabulous Show with Fay and Fluffy (Family Channel),Lockdown (YouTube Originals),Family Feud Canada (CBC),and The Popularity Papers (BBC / YTV).

In addition to her work in television, Stamp has also had a successful career as an actor, appearing in shows such as Locke and Key (Netflix),Hudson and Rex (CityTV),The Handmaid's Tale (HULU),and Carmilla, a Canadian Screen-Award and Cannes Lion-winning web series with over 75 million views on YouTube.

As a voice actor, Stamp has lent her talents to numerous cartoons and video games, including Assassin's Creed Origins and Avatar (Ubisoft),Doomsday Brothers (Adult Swim),Total Drama: Ridonculous Race (Cartoon Network),and Elinor Wonders Why (PBS). She has also written for several shows, including Noonbory (BBC Kids),Lockdown (Sinking Ship / YouTube Originals),EnviroGirl (TVOntario),and The Snoopy Show (AppleTV+).

Stamp's writing has been published by CNN, and she is a strong advocate for mentoring the next generation of creators. She has been involved with the Artists Mentoring Youth - AMY Project for over a decade, where she founded and directed the eOne Film Training Program.

In her personal life, Stamp holds a Guinness World Record for playing Dodgeball for 36 hours straight, an accomplishment she does not recommend. She currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
