Niall James Horan, a talented individual, was born on September 13th, 1993, at the esteemed Mullingar General Hospital in Westmeath, Mullingar. He is the younger sibling of Greg Horan, his older brother. His parents, Maura Gallagher and Bobby Horan, were married at the time of his birth, but unfortunately, they divorced when Niall was just five years old.
Following the divorce, Niall spent several years dividing his time between his parents' homes. Eventually, he chose to reside with his father, which would become his primary residence. Niall's early educational years were spent at Coláiste Mhuire, a Christian Brothers School, where he developed a strong passion for music from a young age, around five or six years old.
As he entered his pre-teen years, Niall began playing the guitar, and at the age of twelve, he showcased his talents by participating in the school's talent show, singing The Script's hit single "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." Although he did not emerge as the winner, his performance garnered significant local attention and praise.
Niall's musical endeavors continued, and he went on to participate in a local competition, where he sang Chris Brown's "With You." This time, he emerged victorious, further solidifying his confidence in his singing abilities. In 2009, he supported Lloyd Daniels in a small music venue, which ultimately led him to realize that he might possess a genuine talent for singing.
The following year, Niall decided to audition for the X Factor, showcasing his vocal skills by singing "I'm Yours" and "So Sick" during his initial audition. His impressive performance earned him a spot in the next round. At bootcamp, he was paired with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik to form the boy band One Direction.
Together, they managed to secure a third-place finish on the show, and shortly after, their mentor, Simon Cowell, offered them a record deal. The group's first single, "What Makes You Beautiful," became a massive hit in 2012, and their debut album "Up All Night" debuted at number one on the US charts.
