Xuan-Nguyen Huynh, later known as Nguyen Stanton, is a Vietnamese-American actress and model, currently residing in Austin, Texas, and represented by Zephyr Talent. Born in Vietnam, she fled the country as a Vietnam War refugee in 1975, arriving in Topeka, Kansas, with her mother, stepfather, and three sisters. Her family was one of seven Vietnamese families sponsored by the First United Methodist Church of Topeka.
After moving around to various states, including Arkansas and Maryland, her family finally settled in Houston, Texas, in 1979. Nguyen graduated from DeBakey High School for Health Professions in 1987 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Composition from The University of Texas at Austin, along with certification in Secondary School Education.
In 2000, Nguyen relocated to San Francisco, California, where she began her career in nonprofit management and media consulting. Four years later, she returned to Austin, Texas, and initiated her acting career. She started her journey in theatre with her home troupe, The Baron's Men, dedicated to presenting historically accurate Shakespearean and Elizabethan plays.
Nguyen has also performed in numerous productions at The Way Off Broadway Community Players in Leander, Texas, and other theaters in and around Austin. In 2009, she began acting in films, taking on various roles in different genres, including martial arts, science fiction, thriller, drama, and comedy.
Aside from her acting career, Nguyen is a skilled IT consultant and community volunteer. She is also a passionate runway model, showcasing the work of local designers. Nguyen's greatest role, however, is that of a devoted mother to her two children, Isabel and Philip.
