Nellie Sciutto embarked on her acting career as a petite model in New York City, representing Elite Model Management, and later expanded her portfolio to Asia. She secured her first acting roles on popular soap operas, including Another World, One Life to Live, and All MyChildren.
After completing her degree at Yale University, Nellie furthered her acting skills at The Actors' Studio and Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City before relocating to Los Angeles.
Nellie initially explored stand-up comedy, which led to the creation of her one-person show "Denying Park Avenue," which she successfully sold to HBO. She then went on to appear in and star in various sitcoms, such as Murphy Brown, Suddenly Susan, Damon, Just Shoot Me, Ink, and dramas like JAG, Eyes, and Law and Order.
In addition to her television work, Nellie has also appeared in several feature films, including The Aviator alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, The Departed alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Alec Baldwin, and Martin Sheen, Shutter Island alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, and Jackie Earle Haley, Haunted Echos alongside Sean Young, Mindcage alongside John Malkovich and Martin Lawrence, and many others.
Furthermore, Nellie co-directed and starred in the feature film Fixing Rhonda. Throughout her illustrious career, she has also been a writer and penned her first book, "50 Moments: Faking It, Making It, and Taking It in Hollywood as a Working Actor," which chronicles her 30-year journey in the entertainment industry.
Nellie is also the host of two podcasts: "The Bubble Lounge Podcast" where she discusses living in Highland Park in Dallas, and the podcast that accompanies her book, in which she interviews celebrities about their personal Hollywood experiences.
