Navjot Randhawa embarked on her film career as the lead actress in Kabir Chowdhry's "Mehsampur", a movie that received the Grand Jury Prize at the 2018 Mumbai International Film Festival.
Her subsequent film, "The Shepherdess & the Seven Songs (Laila Aur Satt Geet)", had its world premiere at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival, competing in the "Encounters" category.
Her third feature film, "KRIYA", premiered at the 2020 Fantasia International Film Festival.
Before venturing into the film industry, Navjot was an active member of the Mumbai Theatre scene, making her debut with Alyque Padamsee's "Death of a Salesman".
She also wrote three plays, two in Punjabi and one in English and French.
The latter, "Everything She Wants : Amrita & Boris", which she co-wrote with Jim Sarbh, was developed during a residency at the Footsbarn Theatre in France and premiered there.
The play subsequently traveled to Hungary as part of the PEN Festival 2017, with Navjot as a guest of the Ministry of Culture, Hungary.
Currently, Navjot is the director of the Andretta Arts Company and divides her time between London and Andretta in the Northern Himalayas of India.
