Nauheed Cyrusi is a British actress born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, where her name means 'Venus'. She has a sister and a dog named Satch, and comes from a non-filmy background. The Cyrusi family resides near Podar College, South Mumbai.
After completing her Secondary School Certificate from J.B. Vacha School, Nauheed enrolled at Sind Educationist Association's Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science and Technology, Churchgate, Bombay. Upon graduating from this university-affiliated college, she pursued a Master's degree in Commerce through correspondence.
Initially, Nauheed had aspirations to become an Air Hostess, but after modeling for three years, she decided to pursue a career in showbiz. She appeared in numerous TV commercials and print media, having already modeled for Dhara Oil at the age of 14 while still in school.
Although she gained popularity with TV advertisements and a music video titled 'Piya Basanti', her tryst with the tinsel screen has been disappointing, with film after film flopping at the box office. She even attempted a Telugu film titled 'Sakhia' opposite Tarun, but the movie failed.
Nauheed has also appeared in a TV serial titled 'Hip Hip Hooray', and made appearances at the 'India Fashion Week 2007' and the 'Allen Solly Fashion Show' alongside actress and TV hostess Koel Purie.
She was one of the top five competitors in the Level 2 of the popular TV show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', but unfortunately, she was eliminated after failing a stunt scene. However, she did receive recognition for her role in the 2006 English comedy 'Rockin' Meera', which was shot extensively in Rajasthan and California.
Nauheed is one of the few Parsi artistes in India, alongside notable names such as Boman Irani, Piloo Wadia, Kurush Deboo, Shenaz Treasurywala, Persis Khambatta, Perizaad Zorabian, Sohrab Modi, and Ardeshir Irani.
When stressed, Nauheed likes to swim or take a walk on the beach. She also enjoys watching TV serials like 'Friends', Hindi movies, and playing badminton.
