Nathyn Masters, a proud alumnus of Columbia College, has built a remarkable career in the film industry, collaborating with JR2 Productions, a talented team comprising producer John H. Rogers III and actor John Ross.
Throughout his journey, Masters has worn multiple hats, showcasing his versatility by taking on roles such as director, fight choreographer, and editor. His impressive portfolio includes two feature films, "The 4th Beast: Mask of the Antichrist" (2004) and "Wages of Sin" (2006),demonstrating his capabilities in bringing complex stories to life.
Masters' academic background is equally impressive, having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Columbia College's renowned film and video program. To date, he has had the privilege of working with esteemed professionals, including special effects master Anthony Noe, martial artists Jason Walsh, Shawn Bernal, and Brian Kung, model/actress and Bacardi girl Wendy George Valasso, and digital producer and crime writer Connie Fillippelli.
In addition to his impressive resume, Masters has also shared his expertise by teaching Final Cut Pro for a semester at Westwood College. His dedication to his craft is evident in his tireless efforts to push boundaries and innovate within the industry.
Masters' remarkable story is that of a true pioneer, having achieved the unthinkable by producing an action film under a budget of $1000 and securing distribution. This groundbreaking achievement has earned him recognition within the industry, and he continues to strive for excellence, with plans to create numerous films, including dramas.
Furthermore, Masters is committed to sharing his knowledge and skills with the next generation of filmmakers. He currently teaches Writing for Multimedia and Digital Photography at East West University in Chicago, inspiring and mentoring the future leaders of the film industry.
