Person biography:
Natalie Sutherland was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is the daughter of British Stage Actress & Director Althea Dando and Mr. John Sutherland. Natalie started in theatre, performing on stage from the age of 8. She trained at Scotland's Edinburgh Acting School for many years and landed some phenomenal roles in shows such as Antigone, Romeo & Juliet, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, among others.
As a dancer of 15 years, Natalie reveled in Musicals, such as Gypsy, Grease, and Annie. She then moved to America and studied at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles. Natalie landed a role in Oliver for Paramount Studios theatre department in Hollywood, performing for Prince Edward and starring alongside America Ferrera.
Natalie's subsequent roles included the award-winning Trainspotting, which was nominated for 2 LA Drama Critics Awards and extended from a 6-week run to 6 months. She then transitioned to TV, commercials, and film in Los Angeles, starring as the lead in Shadow Entertainment/Full Moon Productions' worldwide blockbuster movie Birth Rite and the festival comedic hit "fxxxen' Americans" opposite Grant Show.
In 2015-2016, Natalie starred as a fierce and feisty Hollywood Agent in the Comedic Series Fame Dogs, which premiered at The Grove Theatre in L.A. and won Best Comedy. The series was nominated for 7 Indie Series Awards, and Natalie herself was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. The series took home the Awards for Best Comedy Series on the internet and Best Ensemble Cast.
Natalie has also directed the play Pizza Man, which had a successful run at THE COMPLEX THEATRE in Hollywood, and produced and starred in a very successful run of Donald Margulie's Collected Stories at The Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles and the New Town Theatre in the EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL in Scotland.
In 2020-2021, Natalie wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the Feature Film "Searching" alongside Jazz Raycole, Shannon Farrara, Michael Paul, Lisa London, and Teri Andrez. The film is currently in post-production.
Natalie has a strong connection to the spiritual realm and has discovered her gift as a psychic medium. She has been drawn to others with similar gifts and has founded her first Spiritual Ministry with her husband Matthew in January 2022. The center focuses on the upliftment and enlightenment of the human race.
Natalie has appeared on various TV shows, including The Sun Coast Morning Show on ABC, PBN Business Network, and BBS Radio TV. She travels for work, mainly spending time between Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Sarasota, and the UK.
