Natalia Wörner was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and began her stage career in Hamburg after studying acting at Lee Strasberg's Actors' Studio in New York. She made her film debut in 1992, appearing in the feature film LENI, and went on to star in several other films and TV productions throughout the 1990s.
Wörner's breakthrough role came in 1995 with the popular TV series 'Um die Dreißig' (About 30),which won her critical acclaim and recognition. She received her first award, the GOLDEN GONG, in 1996 for her outstanding performance in the episode 'Perfect Mind' of the long-standing crime series Tatort (Crime Scene).
Throughout the 2000s, Wörner continued to excel in her career, appearing in a wide range of films and TV productions. She received numerous awards and nominations for her performances, including two Best Leading Actress awards for her roles in 'Bella Block' episode 'Blinde Liebe' (Blind Love) and the TV movie 'Frauen lügen besser' (Women Lie Better).
In addition to her film and TV work, Wörner has also had a successful stage career, appearing in productions such as David Hare's 'The Blue Room' and David Auburn's 'Proof'. She has also been involved in several charity projects, including the Tsunami Direkthilfe e.V., which she founded in response to the 2004 tsunami in Thailand.
In 2009, Wörner appeared in the international film series 'Cinderella' and the English/German co-production 'Four Seasons', starring alongside Senta Berger, Tom Conti, and Michael York. She also played a dramatic and romantic lead in the monumental 'Ridley Scott' and the Tandem Communications adaptation of Ken Follett's world-wide bestselling novel, 'The Pillars of the Earth'.
Wörner's most recent projects include the German cinematic wonder 'Die Kirche bleibt im Dorf' (The church stays in the village),the film adaption of the world famous Goethe-Drama 'Götz von Berlichingen', and the eagerly awaited sequel of 'Die Kirche bleibt im Dorf' (The church stays in the village II).
Throughout her career, Wörner has received numerous awards and nominations for her outstanding performances, including the Federal Cross of Merit in 2016 for her dedication to charity work.
