Naveen Babu Ghanta, professionally known as Nani, is a renowned actor, producer, and television presenter in Telugu cinema. He completed his schooling at St. Alphonso's High School and later attended Narayana Junior College before graduating from Wesley College.
Nani's inspiration to join the film industry came from Mani Ratnam. He started his career as a clap director with Anil Kumar for the 2005 film Radha Gopalam. He then worked as a director for several films, including Allari Bullodu, Asthram, and Dhee.
After a brief hiatus, Nani returned to the industry with a job as an RJ for a program called "Non-Stop Nani" on World Space Satellite. His friend Bhargavi Mallela, who was working as an RJ, offered him the job.
Nani's breakthrough in acting came with the 2008 film Ashta Chamma, which received critical acclaim and commercial success. This was followed by the 2009 film Ride, which did exceptionally well at the box office.
He went on to star in numerous successful films, including Bheemli Kabadi Jattu, Ala Modalaindi, Pilla Zamindar, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, Who is Subramanyam?, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha, Gentleman, Majnu, Nenu Local, Ninnu Kori, MCA Middle Class Abbayi, Devadas, Jersey, Shyam Singha Roy, and Ante Sundharaniki.
Nani has also ventured into production, launching his own film production house, Wall poster Cinema, with Prashanti Tipirineni. The company's first release was Awe! in 2018, which received critical acclaim and two awards at the 66th National Film Awards.
In addition to his film career, Nani has also made his debut in television by hosting the reality show Big Boss 2 in 2018. He has also become the brand ambassador for Otto's Minister White.
Throughout his career, Nani has received numerous accolades, including two Critics Choice Best Actor Male - Tamil, two Nandi Awards, Best Hero Award at Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and four SIIMA Awards.
