Nadia Litz is a talented Canadian actress and filmmaker who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. After completing her high school education early, she pursued her passion for acting by attending York University's Theatre program. However, her academic journey was put on hold when she was cast in director Jeremy Podeswa's feature film, The Five Senses, where she played a teenager exploring her gender and sexuality identity. This film premiered at the prestigious Cannes Director's Fortnight, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Following the success of The Five Senses, Litz went on to star in Podeswa's subsequent film, After The Harvest, alongside Sam Shepard. Her performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Canada Screen Awards. After completing her film theory degree at York University, Litz was accepted into the Berlin Talent Lab, where she had the opportunity to work with esteemed mentors such as Tilda Swinton and Wim Wenders.
As a director, Litz's first short film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and won the Best Short award at Austin's Fantastic Fest. Her feature film, The People Garden, was shot in Canada and Japan and starred a talented ensemble cast including Dree Hemingway, Pamela Anderson, Francois Arnaud, Jai Tatsuto West, and James Le Gros. The film won the audience award at the TIFF Screenwriting LAB and later premiered at BAFICI. It was released in various countries by Pacific Northwest Pictures, Filmbuff, and Orion Pictures.
In recent years, Litz has continued to work on exciting projects. She began filming David Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future in Greece in 2021. As a Canadian-British citizen, Litz currently resides outside of Los Angeles, where she continues to pursue her passion for filmmaking and acting.
