Murat Cemcir, a Turkish actor of Georgian descent, was born on November 30, 1976. He began his acting career by taking on supporting roles in films such as "Underground/Yeralti" (2012) and "Takva" (2006). Cemcir also gained recognition for his appearances in notable Turkish TV series, including "Uskudar'a Giderken" and "Ramazan Guzeldir".
In 2012, Cemcir collaborated with Ahmet Kural on the film "Calgi Cengi", a comedy that, although it did not perform well at the box office, developed a cult following and spawned a sequel, "Calgi Cengi: Ikimiz", in 2017. The duo went on to star together in several films, including "Dugun Dernek" (2013) and "Dugun Dernek 2: Sunnet" (2015).
In addition to his film work, Cemcir also appeared in several popular TV series alongside Kural. One of these was "Isler Gucler", a parody of the cinema industry in which the trio played themselves from 2012 to 2013. Another notable series was "Kardes Payi", a sci-fi comedy that aired from 2014 to 2015 and starred Cemcir, Kural, and Seda Bakan as siblings who are inventors.
Cemcir's upcoming projects include the drama film "Ahlat Agaci" by acclaimed director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, as well as the next feature film from the Cemcir & Kural duo, "Ailecek Saskiniz", directed by Selcuk Aydemir.
