M.R. Horhager is a multifaceted creator, director, writer, and filmmaker of Filipino-Canadian descent, hailing from Toronto, Ontario, with an impressive decade-long career in the animation industry.
Throughout his illustrious career, Horhager has made a significant impact, directing the award-winning series "Dot" produced by the renowned Jim Henson Company, and working closely with Sesame Workshop as a director on the popular children's program "Prankster Planet".
Most recently, he has taken on the role of director for two animated specials for live-action sitcoms, including a reboot of Norman Lear's iconic "One Day at a Time" on POPtv/CBS and an election special for "Black-ish" on ABC/Disney.
Currently, Horhager serves as the Director on Nickelodeon's "Blues Clues & You" reboot, which earned him a nomination in the "Best Directing Team" category for the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards.
In addition to his impressive broadcast TV credits, Horhager is also a prolific creator of original animated content, with multiple projects in various stages of development.
