Mojca Brecelj, born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, grew up in the same country with aspirations to become a musician. After completing high school, she embarked on a musical journey by founding a series of bands, including The Twins, which triumphed in the national song contest Slovenska Popevka in 2000. The winning song, "The Voice of Heart," was also the title track of Moica's debut album, released in the same year. The Twins went on to tour Slovenia, perform in Austria, and plan an international career, but ultimately disbanded.
Undeterred, Moica pursued a solo music career, releasing her first solo album, "One More Time," in 2003. She then expanded her education by graduating from a business college in 2005, earning a diploma in entrepreneurship. Moica's passion for film led her to study directing in 2008, followed by acting in 2009. To further her understanding of music production, she also studied music production in 2008.
After making a few short films in America in 2009, Moica returned to her hometown and participated in the documentary "Life In A Day" (2011),directed by Kevin Macdonald. Out of 80,000 contributors, Moica was selected as a co-director and actor, showcasing her versatility and talent in the film industry.
