Mimi's life journey began in Morocco, where she was born, but her early life took a dramatic turn when her parents relocated to the Netherlands when she was just a few months old. This move would have a profound impact on her future, as it was in the Netherlands that Mimi's passion for acting first emerged.
As a young girl, Mimi's desire to become an actress was evident, but she wisely decided to pursue a college degree before embarking on her dream career. She enrolled in the Integrated Communication Management program at the Hogeschool van Utrecht, where she also acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising from Westherts College, part of Hertfordshire University in the UK.
After completing her studies, Mimi finally felt the time was right to pursue her childhood dream. She sent her photos and resume to a casting agency in Amsterdam, and within just three days, she received an audition invitation. Just ten days later, she landed a leading role in the popular Dutch soap opera, "Onderweg naar Morgen."
After three and a half years of playing this iconic character, Mimi decided she was ready for more challenging roles. She left the soap opera to take on more in-depth parts in various film and television series. To hone her craft, she attended numerous acting workshops in both Amsterdam and Los Angeles.
As a woman of Moroccan origin, Mimi's unique appearance and fluency in multiple languages have made her a familiar face on Dutch television and theatre. With over ten years of acting experience, she has played a wide range of roles and nationalities. In addition to her work in the Netherlands, Mimi is also working on a web series/film in Los Angeles and will soon be appearing in productions in Morocco and English.
Mimi's linguistic abilities are impressive, with fluency in Dutch, English, Moroccan Arabic, and some French, Spanish, and German. In her free time, she enjoys music and is an accomplished belly dancer.
