Biography

Milton Gabler, a renowned composer of popular tunes, author, and executive at Commodore Records, embarked on his educational journey at the esteemed City College of New York (CCNY). With a passion for music, Gabler founded the iconic Commodore Music Shop in New York City in 1926, followed by the establishment of Commodore Records in 1938. His impressive career milestones continued to unfold as he was appointed Artists & Repertoire (A&R) Director for Decca Records in 1956. Throughout his illustrious career, Gabler penned an array of chart-topping hits, including the timeless classics "L-O-V-E", "Willya, Wontcha, Kinda, Sorta", "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie", "Tell Me Why", "If I Give My Heart to You", "The Old Accordion", "Pappa Tree Top Blues", "The Little White House", "Margot", "Sing Until the Cows Come Home", "You Had Better Change Your Ways", and "The Wheel Turns", among many others.
