Biography

Mike Burns is a multifaceted creative professional, boasting a plethora of talents that span the realms of film direction, music supervision, and Grammy-nominated music production. His passion for music and film was ignited at a tender age, where he began producing short films in high school at the esteemed New World School of the Arts in Miami.

As he transitioned to Los Angeles in the year 2000, Mike honed his skills by producing and directing over 40 "behind the scenes" features, featuring A-list actors such as Dennis Hopper, Forest Whitaker, Keanu Reeves, Nicholas Cage, John Cusack, Anna Da Armas, Charlie Sheen, and many more.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mike's passion for music remained unwavering, as he continued to produce EDM tracks for top DJs like Armin Van Burren, Paul Oakenfold, and Markus Schulz. This endeavor earned him a Grammy nomination for his contributions as a songwriter and music producer.

In addition to his work in music, Mike began to explore the realm of television scoring, penning the theme song for ESPN's "Rome is Burning" and scoring three seasons of ESPNS' reality show "Beg Borrow and Deal". His music has been featured in commercials for Revlon, Dell Computers, and SCION.

In 2015, Mike made his foray into film production, helming the project "Inconceivable" starring Nicholas Cage and Faye Dunaway. He subsequently transitioned into music supervision for films in 2010, amassing an impressive portfolio of 35 feature films to date.

In 2018, Mike launched Burnsi Creative, his own film and video production company, where he produced and directed several campaigns for major brands such as Adidas, Ford, Tropicana, and Wanderlust. He made his feature film directorial debut in 2018, releasing two films to date: "Out of Death" starring Bruce Willis and Jaime King, and "Wrong Place" starring Ashley Greene and Bruce Willis. Mike is currently in development on his third feature, set to begin production in the fall of 2022.
