Biography

Mickey Casab, a second-generation Syrian American, embarked on an acting career as a direct result of the traumatic events that unfolded in the aftermath of 9/11. His parents, fearing for his safety, instructed him to conceal his Syrian heritage, warning him of the potential consequences of revealing his identity. However, his friends, aware of his background, would often engage in disturbing conversations about the establishment of concentration camps to purge society of "undesirable" Middle Eastern individuals.

Casab is profoundly grateful for the current trend in television and film, which showcases a diverse range of characters coming together. He attributes his decision to pursue an acting career to this very phenomenon, driven by a desire to celebrate and promote the unique aspects of human diversity, rather than being intimidated by them.

Mickey Casab's academic background is rooted in the esteemed Academy of Art University, where he earned an MFA in MPT Acting under the guidance of the renowned actress, Diane Baker.

Throughout his career, Casab has secured roles in numerous award-winning productions, including films such as Fist 2 Fist, California Tango, and The Proposed. His television credits include appearances in 911 Lone Star, Criminal Minds, and The Sterling Affairs. Moreover, his work on the award-winning Instagram series @lawlawlandtheseries has garnered widespread recognition.
