Person Biography:
Michelangelo Antonioni was born into a middle-class family in the northern Italian town of Ferrara. He studied economics at the University of Bologna, where he also co-founded the university's theatrical troupe. Antonioni dedicated himself to various pursuits, including painting, writing film reviews, and working in financial positions and on film productions. Despite initial false starts, he eventually realized his unique directorial vision and voice in his first realized short film, Gente del Po.
