Michaela is a multifaceted individual with a strong educational background, holding a Master's Degree in Drama from the prestigious University of Toronto.
As an actor, Michaela has accumulated an impressive array of theatre credits, including performances in notable productions such as Gratitude by Oren at MainLine Theatre, A Bear Awake in Winter by Ali Joy Richardson at Next Stage Theatre Festival at Factory Theatre, Birds of a Feather with Roseneath Theatre, Urban Tales at Centaur Theatre/Urbi et Orbi, A Midsummer Night's Dream with Humber River Shakespeare, and State of Denial with Teesri Duniya Theatre.
Furthermore, Michaela has showcased her talents in her one-woman show, 8 Ways my Mother was Conceived, in various cities across Canada and the United States, including Toronto, Montreal, New York City, Ottawa, Hudson, Winnipeg, and Stratford.
In addition to her theatre work, Michaela has also appeared in several film and television productions, including The Bold Type, Mike, Fatal Vows, Psych Out, A Stranger in My Home, and Sex & Ethnicity.
As a playwright, Michaela has written and performed in various productions, including In Search of Mrs. Pirandello, which was showcased in the 2016 WildSide Festival at Centaur Theatre Company.
Michaela's relationship with Centaur Theatre Company continued with a mainstage production of her play Successions in the 2017/2018 season, which earned her the Outstanding New Text METAs Award in 2018.
Her latest play, Extra/Beautiful/U, won first place in the 2017 Write on Q competition presented by Infinitheatre, taking home the Pam Dunn Award.
